Harris County Divorce Records

As with other family court records, the District Clerk maintains and disburses divorce records because they are part of District Court proceedings.

Registered users can access the clerk's portal to review information about these proceedings. Any member of the public can also purchase copies of the related documents, including divorce decrees, either online or in person at any of the clerk's office locations within the county.

Members of the public can also obtain divorce verification letters through the Texas Department of Health's Vital Statistics division. These letters are not legally binding and are only used to verify recorded divorces.
